Siri Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Woodburn is one one of seven affiliate academies of Siri Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu HQ located in Kennewick, WA.

Siri Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu was founded by Professor Gustavo “Siri” Pires, a fifth-degree black belt under Carlos Gracie Jr., the son of Carlos Gracie Sr who is consider one of the founders of Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

Our name “Siri” originates from the Portuguese word for crab. Initially, when Gustavo began his Jiu-Jitsu journey in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, he was known as “sirizinho” or “Little Crab”. As Gustavo got older and expanded his knowledge and experience, he gained the title of “Siri” or “Crab” in the jiu-jitsu community and is known for his high-level performance on the national and world level. Hence, Siri is an honorable nod towards our origins in Brazil and towards Professor Gustavo.
